How to have Difficult Conversations

£55.00+VAT

Course delivered by Video Conferencing

Have you ever been involved in a difficult conversation at work or at home?
Have you ever felt that other people are not listening to what you need?
Have you ever taken something that someone said personally and responded defensively?

Difficult conversations are common in both work and family relationships and being involved in such conflict can be very challenging and tiring.    Good communication is essential for good relationships so this course will teach a straightforward approach to understanding the unmet needs that lie behind other people’s actions and speech and how to communicate in a way that helps to make connections, meet needs and resolve differences.

This course is suitable for:

- Staff working in a multi-disciplinary team experiencing challenging conversations relating to the care of the person, particularly when needs are unmet.
- Family members who would like to understand how to resolve arguments and differences.
- Managers who would like to understand how to communicate to staff in a way that makes staff less defensive
- Staff who would like to resolve differences with colleagues
