“Practical and Effective Ways of using Multi-Sensory Equipment” is one of most popular courses.
The course is all about using the equipment safely and confidently and giving people loads of ideas to use it creatively and with purpose, whether it’s a couple of pieces they are using portably or they have a fully kitted out multi-sensory room.
The two comments we hear most often at the beginning of the day are ”we just tend to go in and turn everything on” and “we have a room but we don’t feel its being used to its full potential. At the end of this course delegates go away buzzing with new ideas which they can put into practice straight away.
The other comment we hear, from people who have recently bought rooms or equipment is “we wish we had been on this course first”. There are many expensive mistakes to be made when buying multi-sensory equipment. This course really takes things back to basics and concentrates on the importance of the environment itself, as well as the equipment. We adopt a “less is more” approach equipment is concerned and feel that it’s what you do with it that counts, rather than the amount or sophistication of the equipment.
Concept Training have been involved in the design of multi-sensory rooms since 1992. We’ve witnessed changes in trends, visited a vast number of rooms and spoken to numerous facilitators. As an independent company we’re able to give people the help they need to avoid expensive mistakes and to end up with a room which is not only practical, but fulfils its purpose.
If you are in the process of designing a multi-sensory room and you feel you’d like some independent help and guidance please Email your initial enquiry to info@concept-training.co.uk
As a general rule our service would include an initial site visit and meeting with any interested parties. We would then draw up a brief, including our joint ideas, which would be sent to three companies of your choice (we are happy to advise you on this). When the designs and quotes have been received we would then meet again to go through the “pros and cons” of each, allowing you to make and ask for any amendments. The end result will be a multi-sensory environment which has been really well thought out and fit for purpose, not a room full of expensive and inappropriate equipment. Below, you will see some of the equipment we use on the day. If you are interested in purchasing any of this from Concept Training, there is a downloadable order form which can be faxed or Emailed to us. On receipt, we will contact you to confirm that we have your order and raise an invoice if you are happy to go ahead.
