What prior knowledge or experience is needed?

No previous knowledge or experience is required for this course.  Delegates will be given startegies to help to set up and deliver a range of interventions

Summary of the course

A delay in the development of motor skills can have a big impact upon children’s ability to access the curriculum.  This course will help school or nursery staff to identify children who need extra help.

Course contents

  • • Inclusive PE lessons; managing different abilities
  • Running an inclusive sports club, ideas for children who don’t usually attend sports clubs
  • Looking at early motor skills & screening children for difficulties
  • The motor skills that are needed for mark making and handwriting
  • Setting up gross or fine motor skills groups
