This course gives the opportunity to consider the implementation of the EYFS Progress Review in your setting and the role of all staff in making it successful. From September 2012, it will be a statutory requirement of the EYFS for practitioners to complete a "Progress Check" for children aged 24-36 months and give parents and carers a written summary. This course is highly beneficial for anyone working in an early years setting or anyone involved in the EYFS 'Progress Check' process.
Content
- Consider the views of parents/carers in relation to the EYFS Progress Review.
- Examine typical child development and consider factors which may impact on this.
- Examine a range of materials to support the completion of the EYFS Progress Review.
- Be provided with an opportunity to complete a targeted plan following an EYFS Progress Review.
Learning outcomes
Participants will:
- Feel confident to introduce and implement the EYFS Progress review in their setting
- Feel confident to explain the EYFS Progress Review and Targeted Plan to staff and parents
- Have access to a range of materials to support staff and parents
