Adult Training Courses

All about adult training courses

One of our most popular workshops for Adult Social Care is Intensive Interaction.

Having attended one of our “Introduction to Intensive Interaction” workshop, participants often leave very keen to put what they have learnt into action – which is a great testament to the approach as well as to our trainers` ability to inspire change. Intensive Interaction is a very practical way of encouraging connection and communication, but sometimes things don’t go as smoothly as we hope – and participants are left wanting some more guidance. Our trainers are experienced at providing hands-on demonstration and guidance which can make all the difference.

During a day visit to your Centre or home, the trainer will work alongside staff who have attended an Introduction to Intensive Interaction” workshop to:

·         Meet the people you support

·         Observe existing interactions

·         Discuss what changes you want to make

·         Demonstrate Intensive Interactions

·         Exchange feedback

·         Troubleshoot and plan next steps.

Previous participants have described this input: “It made a massive difference!”  “Seeing Intensive Interaction actually happening with the people we support opened my eyes to how much more we could be doing.” “The trainer gave us the confidence to try harder”
