This multi sensory training workshop will show how to plan and execute
sessions in the Multi-Sensory Environment when working with either adults or
children. The day would be a very useful follow up to the “Understanding the
Multi- Sensory Concept” programme but this is by no means essential. The
workshop will be a mixture of theory and practice and will include the use of
Shadow Puppetry, Sensory Stories and Sensory Life Experiences

- About sensory systems and the impact of impairment
- About engagement levels and how to measure progress
- Levels of attention and engagement
- How to use a thematic approach
Outcomes of the course:
- Knowledge about how to structure a multi-sensory session
- Different ideas about using the room
- The ability to teach simple concepts to users
- The ability to measure progress in a number of ways
