Recognise the diversity of special needs and explore ways to promote awareness and inclusion. The course material links to the Foundation Stage and Under Three’s Framework

  • How different special needs affect a child’s ability to get the maximum benefit from group activities
  • How music, story and games can have a positive impact on the personal, social and emotional development of children with special needs
  • The value of one-to-one interactions with young children

  • A starter pack of music, stories and self-esteem raising games to use in inclusive activities
  • The ability to recognise and help to meet the needs of children with a wide range of special needs
  • Strategies to promote inclusion among groups of children
