Play involves spontaneity, imagination, freedom, social interaction, openness
to sensory experiences - hardly surprising therefore, that many people
with Autistic Spectrum Disorder find play activities and playful
interactions puzzling, difficult, threatening or irrelevant. This workshop
is for anyone who wants to help a person with Autistic Spectrum Disorder
increase their play skills and develop playfulness.

Outcomes of the course:
- A practical understanding of the importance of play and the way our play
values may challenge people with Autistic Spectrum Disorder

difficulties may affect the person's ability to access play
- Practical ideas for strategies and materials to engage people with Autistic
Spectrum Disorder in play
An action plan to help an individual to access and enjoy play.
