Working with Music and
Autistic Spectrum Disorder -
a practical course for those
interested in working with music to aid communication, recreation and well being
and suitable for anyone working with people on the Autistic Spectrum
from age five
onwards
Course timings: 9.30 am - 3.30

Participants will learn:
- How music can be the means by which anyone with Autistic Spectrum Disorder
can communicate and socially interact with the world
- How to incorporate music into story telling and drama
- How music can be part of a multi-sensory approach
Outcomes of the course:
- The ability to create activities using melody and rhythm instruments
- The ability to create music and song for storytelling
- The knowledge to create multi-sensory sesson strategies using music
- The ability to develop specific activities using the skills acquired during
the day
