Bringing mathematical and practical life skills to children or students with severe and profound learning disabilities – a course for anyone involved in numeracy teaching for pupils with special needs

Find out:

  • How mathematics is a fundamental part of our lives
  • How children with learning disabilities learn about quantities, counting and applying basic mathematical ideas in their everyday lives
  • How to interpret the National Curriculum and Numeracy Strategy in ways that are relevant for very Special pupils

  • A greater understanding of learning and communication skills relating to mathematics and practical life skills
  • Strategies for teaching mathematical skills to children or students with very special learning disabilities
  • Practical ideas for helping special pupils and students to learn
