Managing teams and departments involves utilizing new skills for many teachers and carers. This course will explore tried and tested models of management and team leadership to develop effective management styles and techniques. The course is suitable for new heads of schools, senior and middle managers and anyone involved in leading a team.

Course content:

Effective strategies for managing people including conflict resolution and managing change
Task and project management skills
Time management and delegation
Performance management and interview skills

Delegates will gain skill in:
