USING INTENSIVE INTERACTION IN SPECIAL SCHOOLS -
A two tutor In House course
This course is suitable for all staff working with students of all ages and with all types of learning disabilities.
The course will explore ways to use Intensive Interaction and whole-person-centred methods of communication to enhance the life experience and develop the skills of students with communication difficulties. It will give practical ideas to promote communication, discuss how to work with the curriculum and to help develop positive, interactive behaviour.

Monitoring progress
- how to relate Intensive Interaction to person centred planning
Intensive Interaction and positive behaviour
- how to use Intensive Interaction to promote and develop alternatives to self-involved or challenging behavior
This course serves as an introduction: there is the opportunity for further follow up courses to demonstrate practice and coach and supervise staff
