Anger Management and Managing Stressful Situations

A course designed to help deal with your own anger and to deal effectively with challenging situations

The course will:

  • Explore the nature and characteristics of anger
  • Develop strategies of dealing appropiately with anger
  • Present effective and assertive communication skills
  • Examine the dynamics of challenging situations

Carers, Teachers, Learning Support Assistants, Social Workers, Parent Groups, Public Service Personnel.

  • Presentation on the nature and characteristics of anger
  • Practical session on recognising the anger triggers and whole body de-escalation techniques
  • Practical session and analyses of challenging behaviour situations
  • Discussion and plenum on results of previous session
  • Workshop on communication, de-escalation and relaxation
  • Audit of required skills technique and appropriate language
  • Questions and round up
